Lissa (short for Melissa) is a native of North Carolina and used to vacation regularly in the Asheville/Blue Ridge Parkway area. Originally from Winston Salem, she has worked with animals since adolescence, starting from volunteering at humane societies and ending with pet sitting! After attending college for animation and concept work, she moved to Denver, CO where she began her professional pet sitting journey. Now she has returned to her home mountains and is eager to work with animals in addition to freelance illustration! She believes animals need a voice and care that caters to each individual need.

In her free time, she’s found at cafe’s working on crochet projects or digital illustration commissions or taking classes to learn new trades!
