Brantlee has lived in Asheville off and on for most of her life. Having wanderlust, she has travelled extensively but always finds her way back to the magical mountains of Western North Carolina.

She graduated from the College of Charleston in 1999 with a bachelor’s in biology. After a short stint in the pharmaceutical industry, she found her way into grant writing. Over the past 23 years she has worked in several different fields giving her a wide range of skills including the service industry, non-profit fundraising, teaching ESL and grant writing.

One thing has always remained the same though, her love for animals. In her free time, she loves to cook, hike, read, write and snuggle with her black cat, Jay.
