PET SITTER / DOG WALKER / HIKER

Sara is a Columbia University graduate with a Master's in Conservation Biology. She has been caring for animals for her entire life-- growing up on a small goat farm with dogs and cats, working for a boarding kennel, volunteering at a cat shelter, working as an animal care manager at a wild bird rehabilitation center, volunteering at a local wildlife refuge, pet sitting for family and friends, and owning and loving her own cats throughout her years in NYC and Asheville. She spent several years studying wild birds in their native forest environments in the Midwest and Appalachia, as well as several years helping her mother care for her horses and other animals in Florida. In 2011, Sara also hiked the Appalachian Trail, where she fell in love with several of the trail dogs who hiked alongside her with their owners.

She now lives in Woodfin with her husband and two friendly, fluffy, three-year-old bonded tuxedo cat brothers named Rumble and Riley. She enjoys hiking with friends, baking, knitting, music, gardening, and learning the arts of acting and voiceover. She loves the endless variation of language between humans and pets, and spending time with animals brings a sense of fulfillment and peace to Sara's heart and mind.
