Vanessa moved to Asheville from Florida with her dog child, Obi, in July of 2020. They have been so happy enjoying mountain life! Vanessa grew up in Bradenton, FL and got her bachelors degree in elementary education from Flagler College. Her passion is working with children and animals, as animals have always been considered a part of her family and not just pets. She has had a strong love for animals since the age of 3 when she got her first dog, Snoopy the beagle. She had a variety of sweet pets growing up, including bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, and her loving family dog of almost 17 years, Ginger the cocker spaniel. Vanessa’s pup, Obi, is a 6 year old lab hound mix and he is the love of her life! She has had him since he was 8 weeks old. She brings him everywhere she can and if she’s am able to, she’ll gladly take road trips instead of flying just so he can come along :) Vanessa have cared for many friends’ fur babies in the past and being able to do so makes her heart happy! She loves not only being able to help out other humans, but getting to spend time with these sweet animals and care for them is simply the best!
